Detailed description is The Pro Experience provides personalized baseball instruction for individuals aged 8 - 19.
This training includes team leadership skills, basic and advanced skill development while improving the understanding of the game.
The Pro Experience is proud to offer comprehensive and affordable training by experienced collegiate and professional players and coaches at a ratio of approximately 8 students to 1 coach.
Consistent training with The Pro Experience staff will help students gain confidence on and off the field and help them become better athletes in this highly competitive community..

Owner/ Coach Josh Banks: .
After a successful professional baseball career, Maryland Native and Severna Park High School graduate Josh Banks is excited to offer his professional experience and expertise to local athletes.
His stellar career began in 2000, when he was awarded a full scholarship to Florida International University.
At FIU he earned the top spot in many school records and was awarded the Sportsmanship Award two years in a row.
In 2003, Josh was the 50th overall pick in the second round of the Major League Baseball draft and moved up in the Toronto Blue Jays organization over the next few years.
He was an All-star at every level in the minor leagues and was voted twice by his teammates as MVP of the team in 2005 and 2007.
Josh made his major league debut with the Blue Jays in 2007.
He went on to play for the the San Diego Padres (pitching a complete game–one of only 13 in National League history–in only his second career start), the Houston Astros and the San Francisco Giants.
He was also a player for the Dominican Republic in 2011 when they won the Caribbean World Series.

Josh's dedication to sports and sportsmanship earned him a place in the Severna Park High School Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Anne Arundel County Sports Hall of Fame in 2014.
He is currently the Executive Director for the Green Hornets Athletic Association in Severna Park, a position that shows his dedication to sports excellence and local kids.
The Green Hornets is more than 7,500 athletes strong! He has forged many strong relationships and taken on countless tasks (both large and small) that have dramatically improved the state of the organization.
The Pro Experience is the next natural step for Josh, as his dedication to athletics and, in particular, youth sports continues to positively impact the Anne Arundel County Area..

Coach Mark Shives: .
Maryland-native Mark Shives has experience in every aspect of the game of baseball, including being a successful player, coach and scout.
His college career started at Hagerstown Community College and moved to Florida International University.
He played professionally for the Frontier League before taking on coaching at several levels, including Florida Christian University (1997), Assistant Coach at Florida International, the 15U National Team and the highly touted Mid Atlantic Red Sox summer team.
His scouting abilities has also spanned many levels including scouting for the 15U and 16U National team as well as the Seattle Mariners and the Kansas City Royals.
He is currently the head coach for the Clear Spring High School in Hagerstown and has earned the high honor of being named the 2014 Pitching Coach for the 15U National Team.
He is a valuable member of the The Pro Experience Team!.

Coach Chris Masters: .
Originally from Howard County, Chris Masters' baseball career has prepared him to be a successful coach and leader.
After graduating from Howard High School, he had a successful college career at North Carolina Wesleyan College where he helped the Battling Bishops win two conference titles and a regional title.
He was with the Bishops when they went to the Division III World Series.
After graduating in 2007, Chris became the assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator for Stevenson University and has coached players who have reached the professional levels.
He currently has 10 years of coaching experience and holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in Exercise Science..

Coach Matt Griswold: .
Severna Park native and Severna Park High School graduate Matt Griswold has a proven history of success in baseball.
Following his senior-year season, he was one of 12 outfielders in nation to receive 1st Team All American honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association.
As a left handed hitter, Matt received scholarship offers from perennial baseball powers like Clemson, Arizona, and Florida before accepting an offer to play at Virginia Tech in 1995.
A four-year college starter, Matt was named All American in 1997.
That same year he was nominated for the United States National Team.
In 1998 he was named Atlantic Ten Conference Player of the Year., and that summer he accepted an offer to play in the prestigious Cape Cod League, where he was named to the All Star team.
After earning honorable mention All American honors after his senior college season, Matt signed with the Baltimore Orioles.
When his brief career in professional baseball ended, Matt returned to Virginia Tech and was named to the Deans List his final year, 2003.
Matt currently resides in Severna Park.

Severna Park High School graduate Matt Cipollone was an infielder and teammate of Josh Banks on both varsity and Post 175 American Legion under coach Jim McCandless.
He earned All-County honors as a second baseman when the SPHS Falcons reached a #1 ranking in the metro area in 2000.
After graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Communication, Matt worked for Ripken Baseball as a counselor and coach for their instructional programming, camps, coaches clinics, and tournaments.
