In 1995, Sherri Lowery entered Cherisa, her then four-month old daughter, in a pageant.
Unhappy with the fit and look of her daughter’s off-the-rack dresses, Sherri put her childhood sewing skills to work, altering and adding to the outfits she purchased.
Less than two years later, Sherri, a 4H sewing contest winner, made her first completely custom pageant outfit for Cherisa.
By popular request, Sherri offered her pageant-winning designs to the public in 1997.
