Detailed description is Undergraduate students are participating in a semester-long research program on the Island of Nantucket.

The Nantucket Semester is an immersive, hand-ons, residential experience.
It is similar to a study-abroad program where students will experience the environment, rich culture and history of the island.
In Spring 2014 students will take classes in Research Methods, Intro to Oceanography, Natural History of Nantucket and Marine and Coastal Ecological Research.
They will also be doing their own research through out the semester.
This is the second year of this program.
