Detailed description is The Malt House (formally The Famous George) is a beautiful historic pub set in the center of the town square in view of the stunning seafront of Seaton.
NEWLY REFURBISHED IN 2014.

The new name has been inspired by the history of the building and its original use as a Malt House built in the 17th century.
The pub has historically been called The George and it will be a disappointment to lose its name from the town however its bad reputation and lack of business has forced a closure on The Georges chapter but will always be fondly remembered for its horseshoe bar!.

The new chapter of The Malt House has involved the substantial investment in both interior and exterior refurbishment of this wonderful building.
The full external decoration, repair, new external seating and name change will vastly improve the look and feel of Seatons Town Center with The Malt House being such a focal building in The Square.
Investing in business' in the town center will undoubtedly increase local trade, create employement and encourage tourism.

Inside we kept the original features, fully redecorating and adding some lovely new furniture, lighting, fireplaces and personal touches creating a warm, relaxing environment that is welcoming for all.
We are family friendly with all facilities provided including childrens activities and menu also board games, darts and sports to entertain the adults.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome and we even provide free dog biscuits to bribe/reward good behavior..

Our Sunday Roast is not a help yourself carvery slowing going to mush but freshly prepared for each order and special requirements are easily catered for.
Everything on our Sunday Roast is homemade from the giant yorkshire pudding to real gravy.
