Growing up in a 100 year old farm house, with furnishings (and a Great Grandmother that nearly predated it,) I gained an appreciation for antiques.
I spent my days with my Gaga, who was born in 1895.
Many days were spent hearing the stories of my ancestors pioneering across Kansas and Missouri, on an 18 day trip, with a wagon full of their most precious belongings.
She had a story for everything in the house.
At an early age I fell in love with a Queen Anne style dresser she had.
Laced with a serpentine front and wishbone shaped harp hugging the giant mirror; it made its way into my heart immediately.
Just shy of her 99th birthday, she gave me that dresser.
I was 13.
She passed away one year later, and although the stories stopped, and the rest of the furnishings were distributed among family; my appreciation for antiques only began to grow.
I was probably the only teenager with a bedroom decorated entirely with century old furniture, but I didn't care.

Twenty-some years later, this passion is deeply rooted within me.
I spend my days searching for pieces long forgotten, and I make them new and whole again.
It is my mission to see that they find their way into new homes, where new families can tell their "stories" to the next generations.
