The Greek Orthodox Surry Hills Social Group (GOSHSG) was established on 21 May 2017.
The key aim of the GOSHSG is to provide an environment where people and the youth of the suburb and surrounding areas can work together in the true spirit of Orthodoxy in order to maintain and foster the Greek Orthodox faith..

Further, the GOSHSG aims to:.
* issue communications that update people and our youth on weekly Church events; and.
* organises events, with the view to enable the people and especially our youth to meet other young people that attend our Church but also from various parishes and fellowships..

Throughout the year, the GOSHSG organises a number of activities, which enables interaction with other people of our faith.

Communication (via Facebook postings, e-mails, newsletters, newspaper advertising & parish distribution) which outlines all meetings, special talks on issues affecting today's youth, upcoming events, major feast days, Church services, other spiritual and cultural events including events organised by other fellowships, organising regular trips to Monasteries and churches; and other social events throughout the year, such as trivia nights, ten pin bowling, dinners and picnics..
