Detailed description is The Farmette began as a lifelong desire to farm and raise animals humanely and provide that meat to the local community, family and friends.
Growing up raising a menagerie of animals including chickens, ducks and geese on 30 acres in Scottsville, New York may have been what sparked the interest in farming for Kate as a young girl.
In the Fall of 2015 Kate decided to make a full time go of farming and expanded her flock of poultry, as well as adding sheep, pigs, and rabbits.
2016 proved to be a successful first year of production, selling out of her pastured poultry, pork and, free range eggs to local customers.

During the early Spring of 2017 The Farmette moved from its location in Scottsville to Dansville, NY.
Due to the move, The Farmette is temorarily only offering farm raised rabbit, but there are big plans for the 2018 season! Pastured poultry and pork, grass fed beef in partnership with Acomb Acres, and free range eggs will be available once again!.
