The owners of The Fabric Guild are Dee Arnsmeyer and Carla Shasteen, a mother-daughter team of avid quilters.
Dee and Carla each have over 20 years of experience sewing and quilting.
Dee is a professional seamstress with experience in the garment industry.
Carla has a degree is Fashion Design from The Art Institute, along with her professional sewing and quilting experience.
Carla has owned a tailoring and sewing company, along with working for Blank Quilting as a textile representative.
At Blank Quilting, Carla would travel throughout the mid-west showing the new lines of quilt fabrics to independent quilt shop owners.
Dee also assisted Carla at Blank Quilting by creating sample quilts from the new fabric lines to show the quilt store owners and quilting enthusiasts..

Together they are unstoppable, so starting a quilting business together was a natural new beginning.
In January 2009, Carla had a serious car accident that almost took her life.
Over the past three years, she has been working through rehabilitation and getting her life back to normal.
Carla was unable to continue her position at Blank Quilting, but didn’t want to leave the world she dearly loved - the world of fabric.
So, in March 2011, Dee and Carla started The Fabric Guild, a business that gives this mother-daughter team more time to spend together and continue to do the things they both love!.
