Jenkins purchased the Jewel of Downtown Alexandria, The Diamond Grill Restaurant after the death of Mr.
Robert "Buddy" Tudor, Jr.

In 1931 it was a downtown jewelry store… now Diamond Grill, recipient of the 2006 Louisiana Preservation Honor Award, offers a wide range of superb menu items to suit every taste and budget.

Schnack’s Jewelry Store which began business in 1865 moved into this beautiful example of Art Nouveau / Art Deco Architecture where it would remain for the next 66 years.
