III. Legislative Action on Capitol Hill. . . The Center for American Homeless Veterans' staff members and volunteers hold meetings on Capitol Hill with Members of Congress and their staff, steadfastly working the halls of Congress for homeless veterans. Legislative initiatives also include jobs, living programs, mental health screening, substance intervention and housing placement programs for veterans.
