Did you know that eating disorders are some of the most common and life threatening mental disorders of the last decades with mortality rates as high as 15% and that 1/3 out of women are somehow affected at some point throughout their lifetime?.

MONO means both cute and monkey in Spanish.
To us, MONO stands for beautiful and that’s why we named this project 'THE I AM MONO PROJECT' as we believe that everyone should feel beautiful and good about themselves.

'THE I AM MONO PROJECT' is a non-profit organization.
The aim is to raise awareness about people suffering from anorexia and its subtypes, which is a life threatening disease and a big difficult problem in the society we live in.
Very often there is not enough time or resources dedicated to this matter, even though we are aware of the large number of people who are struggling with the disease either themselves or as close friends or family.
At times it can be difficult to know where to turn to get the help needed and to not feel alone..

The idea behind the t-shirt came about because we wanted to create a non-size t-shirt.
You will only find them in a smaller and a bigger size that are designed to fit everyone, girls and guys, women and men, young and old.
It all depends on how you like to wear it.

Every year a new artist will be invited to design a new motif/illustration to the t-shirts adding their personal touch to the collection of 'THE I AM MONO PROJECT'.
For the first collection we proudly present the artist Veronica Ballart Lilja, who made the illustrations.
For each t-shirt sold, 15,00 € will be donated to projects, charity, organization or research that aim to help people with eating disorders.
Each year the total sum collected will be given to the chosen causes.
