Detailed description is TSIE offers academic-based, intensive English programs to international students, faculty, at staff of Texas State University.
The TSIE Program offers non-credit-bearing, academic-based, intensive English programs to international students and Texas State University faculty and staff focusing on reading, listening, speaking, writing, grammar, American culture, and test preparation.
Classes are offered 4 days per week each semester (fall, spring, and summer) for 15 weeks in the fall and spring or 10 weeks in the summer.
All TSIE classes are housed on the main campus of Texas State University and are conducted by professionally-trained instructors with advanced degrees in Foreign Language Education, TESOL, and/or English..

Through participation in TSIE classes, students will engage in activities and assignments geared toward improving academic English proficiency and ultimately obtain the tools necessary to succeed in freshmen-level undergraduate and graduate courses at the university level.
