Detailed description is Tate is off to Asikuma, Ghana, to support Kingdom Cares Int.'s work with a medical clinic, foster care system & school sponsorship program.

Encephalitis, breast cancer, HIV — these are just a few of the untreated major health problems we’ve encountered in Asikuma and Accra, Ghana.
Add to that an orphan population ignored by the government (they don’t even allow orphanages as they instead want to claim they are orphan-free) and children unable to afford school and you will understand why I am asking for your help..

Kingdom Cares International (KCI) has supported a medical clinic, orphans and foster homes in Ghana for several years.
Volunteers for the organization travel to Ghana periodically to check in on the projects.
This year, in late July, KCI hopes to implement a staffer on site in Asikuma, Ghana, for at least six months at a time..

I have been chosen as that representative and am eager to begin but I need your help so I may help many others..

During my six-month term, by God’s grace, I’ll be serving the people of Ghana in a variety of ways.
I’ll be working to ensure the needs in the village and surrounding areas are being met by the medical clinic.
Right now many villagers believe they can’t afford to visit the clinic when in reality it is there for anyone in need.
I will spend time, as part of the community, building relationships and connecting with villagers who have health problems.
I will also attend to the KCI child sponsorship program, helping the most vulnerable children get to school.
(Sponsoring a child through KCI’s school sponsorships provides for a school uniform and a solid meal every day.) I will work to support the foster families who care for local orphans and make sure their homes are adequate.
I will also be on the lookout for extreme health or poverty issues that may need help from KCI or other resources within Ghana.

The six month period is expected to cost $12,000 which will cover transportion, lodging, food and outreach projects.
