TASAKI was established in 1954, and prides itself on its world class quality and techniques as a brand involved in pearl processing and marketing.
The spirit that goes into this meticulous work starts with culturing the pearls, and this has been passed down as a legacy through the TASAKI brand.
In 1970, TASAKI succeeded in pearl production through artificial seeding of Pteria penguin oysters.
And, as seven-time recipients of the Minister's Award from the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Prize (the highest award presented by Japan’s national association for pearl appraisal), TASAKI brand is well-respected both in Japan and overseas.
The company expanded into China in 1966 and have subsequently expanded TASAKI’s overseas network in Tahiti and Australia.
TASAKI now handle a wealth of different types of pearls, including Akoya pearls and carefully selected pearls from silver-lipped, gold-lipped and black-lipped oysters.

In 1994, TASAKI became a ‘Sightholder’ with the De Beers Global Sightholder Sales (DBGSS), which belongs to the De Beers Group, the world’s largest supplier of rough diamonds.
As a Sightholder, TASAKI may purchase rough stones directly from the DBGSS.
Very strict criteria are applied to acquiring Sightholder certification, including not only corporate strength, but also marketing and price maintenance capabilities.
And most importantly, Sightholders must have superior appraisal and polishing skills.
TASAKI is the only Sightholder in Japan, and obtaining this certification has ensured a stable flow of high quality natural diamonds.
