The daughter of an equine veterinarian, Paige Lockton-Wilde spent her youth observing and interacting with horses.
At a young age, Paige climbed the equestrian ladder and represented Canada internationally until her retirement in 2002.
Since then, she has coached from the grassroots to the international level and operated her own recreational riding school, encouraging empathetic, ethical horsemanship in the North.

As a coach, Paige realized that horses reached people on many levels; encouraging confidence, empathy and integrity.
Paige's observation that the benefits of connecting with horses had little to do with riding them, and that a whole demographic of vulnerable youth could not be reached through a typical riding school, prompted her to explore Equine Assisted Learning.
Programming on her family farm in Callander, opened her eyes to the possibilities of including ALL of the animals on the farm, as well as growing food, into a holistic, well-rounded program able to meet the needs of a wide range of special people, on a very special farm.
