The Sydney Tramway Museum is an operating tramway museum, located in Loftus in the southern suburbs of Sydney The Sydney Tramway Museum began life in 1950.
From 1957 the Museum operated from a large corrugated iron shed alongside what is now today the Parklink tramline, on the opposite side of the Princes Highway from the current site.
In 1988, the Museum moved to its current premises next to Loftus railway station.
