Swimming became more social rather than competitive while studying for my degree at Leeds Metropolitan University however I still represented Leeds Met every year at the British University Nationals..

I started my swimming teaching journey in 2007, this quickly lead to me completing my level 2 in Coaching swimming and Level 2 in Teaching Aquatics the following year.
I taught at many swim schools and leisure facilities in and around Leeds while studying at university..

In 2013 I started my dream job of coaching and teaching swimming in Australia.
I spent 2 years coaching Boyne Tannum Swim Club in Queensland Australia and in my free time I helped out with my neighbors swim school teaching babies from 6 weeks old up to early teens.
This was a fantastic opportunity and gave me an insight into how their swim programs operate..
