Hi, I'm Cat.
I've always been ridiculously tall, and when I was younger, my grandmother would make my clothes which often included lengthening patterns so they wold be long enough for me.
As I grew older (and consequently taller), I found it near impossible to find pants long enough to reach even my ankles, let alone shorts or above the knee dresses that were age appropriate.
Then came puberty...and hips.
My waist is (naturally) 14 inches smaller than my hips, this has lead to ill fitting pants, as well as oddly fitted skirts and dresses..

As I started college, I knew what I wanted to do, I wanted to become a teacher.
But then I took a sewing class, and my life was changed forever..
While my grandmother had taught me some of the basics when I was small, which resulted in many handmade clothes for my dolls, I hadn't used a sewing machine in years.
And while I had previously wanted to be a fashion designer, I had been told it would be impossible, but this class made me want to try.
So I took class after class, learning how to sew, as well as draft patterns.
Soon, I produced a collection shown in a runway show produced by the school's fashion program..
I love designing clothes, as much as I love drafting the patterns and sewing something that I created from the idea to the finished product.
