The majority of these locomotives are small live steam engines burning coal -- steam, hot water, cinders and lubricating oil are all present -- so safety rules must be strictly observed.
(And you will notice that we don’t wear white shirts ! ).

Objectives.

To operate model steam, diesel and electric locomotives on 5" and 7¼" gauge ground level track thus providing Train Rides to the Public, to exchange construction ideas and details & to promote historical research on engineering topics associated with model engineering..

Other activities may include running steam traction engines and scale powered models, as well as promoting an interest in railway and engineering activities etc., and to maintain & improve Model Railway Park..

We are available for a limited number of extra operating days by arrangement & each year are pleased to also host a couple of train rides days exclusively for local special schools & charity groups..
.
Public running days are held on the 4th Sunday of each month (except December) between the hours of 10.00am and 3.00pm.
Rides are $3 per ticket..
.
Club meetings & maintenance works are generally held at the Club grounds on the 3rd Sunday each month..

New membership enquiries are always welcome at any time.
Owning a model is not a pre-requisite, just enthusiasm & an interest.
