Lots of hands-on learning with real horses and equipment..
WHAT IS PONY CLUB?.
Pony club is a great build-on to lessons however we do not specifically teach kids how to ride in the club.
In Pony Club kids learn all the aspects of horse care and safety.
There is much more to owning or handling horses than just riding them and it's pony club which teaches and prepares kids for a future with horses..

The common subject divisions taught include;.
Vet and First Aid.
Conformation and Unsoundness.
Tack, Saddlery and Equipment.
Stable and Pasture.
Feeding and Nutrition.
Feet and Shoeing.
Grooming.
Riding Techniques and safe practices.

Members can also go through the testing levels from E to A which help them earn recognition for their achievements on a National level.
Kids who have tested up to B and A levels through Pony Club can skip the Equine Canada levels to achieve prerequisites for become a riding coach or horse trainer in future.

While not every meeting includes riding the kids do a lot of work with real horses and equipment.
The best way to learn is hands-on.
For those wishing to get out and do more their are both mounted and non mounted competitions at Regional, National and International levels.

We started up Stone Bridge Pony Club in 2008.
It was a great kick off year sending kids to almost all Regional activities.
Pony Club is a great add on to regular lessons focusing on equine safety and knowledge.
In pony club children learn the proper care a management involved in having a horse or pony and what to do if there is a problem.
It is a great way to learn all about having fun with horses and being safe while doing it.
Youth ages 6-21 can join and we prefer to have all new memberships in by February each year so members can get the most of their year.
Free extra riding time is available to all of our pony clubbers anytime of the year.
Our regular meetings cover a range of interesting subjects based on what the kids want to learn about as well as lots of riding time.

We're always interested in trying new things and in winter 2009 we started Skijoring influenced by Pat Wolfe.
So far everything has gone really well and the kids love it!.
Extra Regional activities include Show jumping, Dressage, PPG games, Rallies, Quiz, Winter Camp, etc..
