Shortly after the move they purchased the Trotec Laser Engraver, which allowed them to expand the business into name badges and small signage.
This laser was specifically designed to cut rubber dies for stamps, but in the true Kiwi spirit, Phil and Glenys adapted the machine to cut many other items..

In late 1996 the Stamp City North Shore Franchise was set up, but the Franchise was terminated in December 2010.
In early 1999, Warren & Deidre New bought Stamp City Epsom.
