Paulus ist eine katholische Pfarrkirche in Göttingen.GeschichteFast 150 Jahre nach St.
Michael wurde die Kirche St.
Paulus ab 1927 als zweite nachreformatorische katholische Kirche der Stadt erbaut und am 21.
Juli 1929 durch Bischof Nikolaus Bares geweiht.
Sie trägt den Namen des Apostels Paulus, dessen monumentale Statue den Westgiebel einnimmt.Die Mittel für den Kirchbau nach Plänen des Essener Architekten Adam Weinhag (1879–1937) kamen durch jahrelange örtliche und überörtliche Spendenwerbung sowie durch einen Beitrag des Bonifatiuswerks zusammen.
Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde das Gebäude nur wenig beschädigt, so dass der Außenbau vollständig und die originale Innenausstattung teilweise erhalten ist.Von 1976 bis 1986 war Joop Bergsma Pfarrer an St.
Paulus und Dechant des Dekanats Göttingen.Architektur und AusstattungSt.
