Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Fryburg, Clarion County, was founded in 1820.

He hails orginally from Corry, Pennsylvania - in .
fact was born there on January 3, 1957 (you do the math) and raised in Corry.

He attended the Baptist Church, although was never baptized until, after years .
of spiritual discernment, he decided that the teachings of Jesus as they are .
expressed in the Catholic faith, were his true and complete teachings and so, .
arranged to be catechized by Fr.
John Lucas.

Thomas the Apostle Church in Corry, .
and was subsequently baptized and received his First Holy Communion on August 20, 1975, only weeks before beginning his freshman year at what was then Clarion State College.

The following spring he was confirmed.
After graduating with a BS degree in Secondary .
Education, Social Studies, Fr.
Davis taught for a number of years in both the public .
and parochial school systems as a history and theology.
It was during that time that he .
continued his sprirtual discernment, always keeping the possibility of ordained priesthood .
in the back of his mind.
After the teaching profession began to become more bureaucratic .
and administrative, priesthood became more attractive to him and he prayed that if three .
people suggested to him that he become a priest, that he would not renew his teaching contract at the end of the school year and instead, would apply to St.
Mark Seminary in Erie..

What he prayed for happened.
Within a span of three short weeks, three people suggested .
priesthood to him and the rest is history.
After two years at St.
Mark's and four years at .
Christ the King outside of Buffalo, New York, Fr.
Davis was ordained as a transitional deacon for about ten months, assigned to St.
Michael's Church in Greenville, Pennsylvania.
After his ordination to priesthood on April 24, 1998, he was assigned to St Joseph in Sharon, to St.
Leo in Ridgway, to the Catholic Community of St.
Titus, St.
Walburga, and Immaculate Conception in Titusville, and in August of 2011 began his second pastorate at St.
Michael the Archangel Parish..

Davis loves priesthood (although he says "It has its moments") and loves .
to say Mass.
He devotes most of his time to the flock at St.
Michael's but in his spare .
time, he loves to read (his favorite genre of literature is "Lord of the Rings" kind of .
fantasy and or historical fiction; his three favorite books are The Bible, .
"Gone with the Wind", and "To Kill a Mockingbird"; he recently purchased a Kindle and .
