Im Jahre 1554 wurde er erstmals urkundlich erwähnt.
Von Generation an Generation weitergegeben, stand immer die Viehhaltung im Mittelpunkt des Hofbetriebes.
1987 übernahm Willi Große Wächter die Leitung.
1988 lernte er Barbara kennen, die zwei Jahre später seine Frau wurde.
Gemeinsam beschlossen sie die Ausrichtung des Unternehmens zu erweitern, pflanzten noch im selben Jahr den ersten Spargel und begannen mit der Direktvermarktung in einem kleinen eigenen Lädchen..
