The old Fowler farmhouse was converted to the Southwick Country Club Restaurant and the front nine was opened for golf play in 1928.
The first hole is still regarded as one of the most challenging starting golf holes in Western Massachusetts.
The golf course is built on mild rolling hills making it ideal for seniors, juniors, ladies and golfers who love to walk rather than take a golf cart.
