The birth of Southlaw Ent was in the summer of 2003 in Riverside, California where he and his relative (a former resident of San Diego,Ca) set out to collab on an album with his relative's friend PlayBoy (Leo) who is also from San Diego.
Shortly after his 3 month stay there, legal issues forced him to move back to his home state of Louisiana where he found more legal issues troubling him.
It was these defining moments that lead to the core development of his production sound which has yet to be perfected.
He then put together a group of artist that were set out to complete a project titled "Elkaiduh." This project would never come to fruition due to the egos possessed by the contributors which lead to the dismantling of the entire project.
At this time he started focusing on one artist that decided to try to stick it out with him and go forward in the music business.
Little did he know that this artist would in turn follow suit like the previous ones and bail on him in the middle of the production of his first album.
They were 7 songs deep with 2 in the pre-production phase.
It was during this transition that Southlaw Ent was getting its official stamp of approval from the State of Louisiana on the day of 9/22/2010 when all said paperwork needed to officially start his company was completed and filed.
One year prior (4/17/2009) to this momentous event, he completed a song with a well know local artist by the name of Maxminelli titled "Hustle Hard" or commonly known by its catchy street named "Transformers." This would be the song that he would be noted for as to this brought the much needed attention that was and has been fueling the tank to take him further in the business of music.
It was revered as a classic the first time it was ever heard by industry professionals.
Since then he's been preparing his up and coming project after artist that had intentions on signing with him backed out making him a solo artist.
His first single appropriately titled "Peace of Mind", literally was written pieces and was in all honesty a freak accident.
It was "pieced" together from random bars written on his personal FB page between the years 2014 & 2015.
After encurring hardship after hardship, he sat down in his room,look at his equipment, stood up,turned it on,hit record, and went for it.
It was his first complete song in over 10 years.
At the current moment, due to the demands of the fans, he plans to record a full length lp based on the response he's received from promoting the maxi-single "Da Unexpected" which was scheduled to feature the underground smash "Transformers" but does feature the follow up single "Keep getting money" & " I rocked it all" which are all crowd favorites.
His initial plan was to drop a few mixtape songs to keep his label's name and buzz alive until he could find another artist to produce an album for which is the reason behind the 2 or 3 mixtape tracks that were recorded before "Peace Of Mind" came to life.
This ALL change after the warm welcome he received when people actually heard what he'd do with his own productions as far as writing compositions to them.
He was sorta forced into becoming an artist by the fans of his production and music and he doesn't like to disappoint or let people down.
The year is now 2017 and he really wants to satisfy his fans demand by releasing the single "Peace of Mind" but life has gotten in the way and has postponed this event for the last 2 years.
During the last two years he never stopped writing and has a mixtape that he is currently waiting to release since the single and album have now been released on iTunes,Amazon, and online retail and streaming sites..
