Detailed description is Shotokan Karate and street-level defensive tactics.
Classes for adults and kids available.
South Plains College Xtreme Karate focuses partially on the tradition and discipline of Shotokan Karate.
The basic movements (blocks, strikes and stances), the kata, and the belt rankings will stem from this style.
However, the defensive tactics and combat training classes will deal more specifically with street-level martial art combat such as Krav Maga and the Special Combat Aggressive Reactionary System (SCARS) which is used today by the U.S.
Navy Seals.
Through dedication and equal training of these different styles, students will gain a great foundation of movement and balance as well as modern defense tactics worthy of self-defense in today’s world.
