Please know that I am finally able to reopen my Smocking Patterns store online.
I am sorry for the delay in reopening, however, I really needed the time to recuperate and get back on my feet.
For those of you that weren't aware of what was happening, I had a relapse in my Multiple Sclerosis and needed the time to recuperate..

Initially, I will begin by offering all the smocking pleater needles for sale first.
I know how difficult it is to find them, so they will be my prime concern at the moment..

If you have been doing without those much needed needles, now is the time to stock up and get your pleaters up and running once again, but, if you don't see it listed right way, just ask.
I am still carrying all the different brands, so not to worry..

I have also been working on a brand new smocking pattern for all you beginners.
I had started this new pattern just before I became really sick, so it got put on hold for a while.
Well, I'm now beginning to feel a little better and I think I'll be able to actually finish writing it now.

I definitely know how difficult it is to try to follow a smocking pattern when it assumes that you already know what you are doing, so I am going to take some of these basic patterns and instructions and elaborate on them to make it so that anyone can follow the instructions.

There is no reason why everyone shouldn't be able to understand any instructions in any pattern, regardless of how complicated the pattern is.
The purpose of the instructions is to walk you through all the steps so that it isn't complicated.
So, with all this in mind, my plan is to actually start at step one and elaborate on the instructions in as much detail as I can possibly manage.
By writing the instructions with more directions and more explanations, everyone should be able to follow any smocking instructions on any pattern once they have actually learned how to do the different steps from my patterns..

We all know that there is nothing more satisfying than taking a plain piece of fabric and turning it into a gorgeous new outfit for that someone special in your life.
So lets do this together.

Now this is something that is being planned for down the road a little because I need to finish writing the pattern first and get the website up and running as well, so you will have to be patient.
Hopefully, we will be able to start this by June.
That will allow me the time to write the website and get it published first.
That always take time, plus I'll need to prepare for the classes as well.
I will also have to finish writing the pattern so that we can all work from the same instructions..

I still remember when I first tried to learn smocking and there wasn't anyone there for me for me to ask all my one million and one questions.
I remember feeling totally lost and then becoming extremely frustrated.
At that point I didn't even know why I wanted to learn how to smock in the first place.
I was so frustrated, I want to just quit, however, that isn't my nature, so I hung in there and eventually I taught myself how to smock..
Now, that is why I want my patterns to be able to be followed by anyone at any level of ability..

I will also be putting together some more kits to go with the new patterns as well.
You will have everything you need and instructions you can follow.
I can't think of any other way to make it easier for everyone.
I truly think that everyone who really wants to learn how to smock, should be able to learn how to smock...
