Healthy eating and fitness has always been important to me.
After having my last child in 2001, I just could not get rid of my "baby" weight.
Despite daily walking and running after 4 children all day, the weight just kept piling on.
I was diagnosed with PCOS, and, now that I knew there was a reason for my weight gain, I was determined to fight back and take back control of my health.
I was successful and lost over 50 lbs.
with consistent daily exercise and changing my eating habits.
I was able to maintain that weight loss for several years, and then, with no change to exercise or eating habits, I once again started gaining weight.
Needless to say, I was incredibly frustrated.
I was then given a diagnosis of Hypothyroidism.
After months of adjusting medication to correct my low functioning thyroid, I was once again on track, but never succeeded in losing the extra 20 lbs.
I gained.
I just accepted it as that! I now had two conditions that make weight gain and loss a constant challenge.
After receiving a diagnosis of Breast Cancer in August of 2016, my body was once again going through a struggle.
September 09, 2016 I had major life changing and body altering surgery.
I am happy to say that with the surgery, the cancer was completely removed!! Despite that great news, I just could not bounce back from my surgery! I needed something to help in my recovery and healing! In January of 2017 I was introduced to Shakeology.
I was really on the fence about trying another shake! After discussing Beachbody and Shakeology with my husband, he was right on board with it.
OK, now I had no excuse! We realized that we had nothing to lose, and everything to gain, if this really worked! We signed up, and have not looked back! I don’t miss a day of having my Shakeology.
I just had another surgery on February 23, 2017, and following my surgery, the nurse couldn’t believe how well I was doing! Shakeology is providing my body with the nutrients it needs to heal and recover.
Every day I am getting stronger, and with my husband and I holding each other accountable and sharing in the journey to wellness, we can’t be stopped!.
