Detailed description is Shoreline Youth Orchestras - the home of Shoreline Youth Symphony Orchestra and Shoreline Youth Concert Orchestra.
SYSO is a community-based orchestral group for high school and middle school age students located in Madison, CT.
Our passion is to offer a quality musical experience in orchestra playing for interested young musicians living anywhere along the central Connecticut shoreline.
We play the great classical symphonic music, original contemporary compositions for orchestra, as well as lighter “pops” or show music.
Additionally, we form other smaller ensembles: two jazz bands, a fiddle club, plus the Whiz Kids, a middle school age preparatory orchestra.
All of these elements combine to create an opportunity for young musicians to grow and contribute as well as develop their musical talents, all the while enjoying the company of other like-minded students.
