Each class level at Shining Stars has a regular routine of structured activities and center times.
The Pledge of Allegiance is always done to start each class.
Language, writing and reading, math/science, art, music, snack time, story time, social studies and creative movement are all activities that are done through group structured times and/or during social center times providing more one on one interaction.
Learning to share, getting along with others, listening, obeying, cooperating and following directions are a part of every age group/class with increased expectations for the fours and fives.
Letters and sounds, numbers and counting, shapes, colors are introduced and reinforced through planned activities each day.
Each age level has increased challenges for each concept.
Fun and exciting themes, topics and centers change monthly are used each to help children discover and learn concepts and fundamentals in a variety of ways to connect with a variety of individual learning styles..

Leap Frog/Frog Street Phonics program is used with each class level in challenging ways.
