Shingon Shu Western Fellowship is a Northern California based Buddhist sangha formed by Jeff Hoji Keller, an Associate Minister undergoing formal ministerial training under the direction of Shingon Shu Hawaii.
Jeff Hoji Keller has formed the fellowship to cultivate a group in Northern California under the guidance of Rev.
Reyn Yorio Tsuru, Director of Shingon Shu Hawaii, a 100 year old temple based on the teachings of the Japanese Shingon sect.

Shingon Shu Western Fellowship is based on the teachings of Kobo Daishi and the Japanese Shingon sect he founded in the ninth century, combined with the teachings of the Six Element meditation practice, a practice that was taught by Shakyamuni over 2,500 hundred years ago in India.
These teachings show a path for sentient beings to realize their true Buddha nature and understand that they have the ability to attain enlightenment in this very existence (Sokushin Jobutsu), as Kobo Daishi taught.
