The church was originally founded in 1849..

In the beginning....members first met in a brush arbor and then in a log cabin.
In 1907, a small church building was erected.
Two wings were added for Sunday school in 1927.
The current building was built in 1952.
Railing and sidewalks were added shortly thereafter, In 1967, the educational building (fellowship hall) was added and completed in 1967.
Stained glass windows were added in 1985.
The following year, in December of 1986, a fire damaged the fellowship hall, which was repaired in 1987.
The handicap accessible ramp was completed in January 1994..
