We are a local farm raising purebred Berkshire pigs -- the "Black Angus" of pork.
Berks are an old breed that are not well adapted to factory farming -- which is okay with us.
Berkshire pork always ranks highest of all breeds in tests for flavor and meat quality (marbling, moisture and flavor).
We raise them the old fashioned way -- slow and easy.
Our pigs live in a wooded area on our farm in Northwest Colorado.
They are born and raised on our farm where they eat good food consisting primarily of local barley and wheat.
The feed contains no antibiotics, added chemicals or added growths hormones.
We currently sell our pigs directly to our customers for their freezer, either by the half or whole.
We deliver the pig to a local processor who cuts, cures, smokes and packages the pork as the customer directs.
We also have USDA processing options available.
We are looking to add, pork for sale by the package as well as selling directly to restaurants.
