A little about me....
.
My name is Julie Kubik.
I was born between the Sea and the Mountains in British Columbia, Canada, surrounded by deep forest and lush, green farmland.
Growing up, I lived and breathed horses.
I spent a good portion of my youth riding and competing in horse shows across Western Canada.
At seventeen I moved to Belgium with my family, where I finished high school and fell deeply in love with Europe(and the chocolate).
Just 2 years later we moved back to Canada where I eventually met my husband after being "set-up" by a mutual friend.
I can honestly say I met the love of my life in that moment.
Four beautiful children and twelve years later, here we are..

Shearwater Weaving combines my passion for textiles, design and colour with my longtime love of babywearing.
At first, I wanted to create special wraps for my sons and daughter to eventually carry their own babies.
What I discovered however is that when I'm in my studio, I am genuinely at my best.
Each strand of yarn that is used to create a wrap passes through my own fingers and I wouldn't trade this experience for the world.
I strive to create unique, heirloom quality baby wraps that can be enjoyed for many years to come.

I do not offer custom spots but do offer semi custom spots on warps that I've designed.

*How do you sell your wraps?.

At this time I offer my extra pieces through both Shearwater Weaving's Facebook page and in the Shearwater Weaving chatter group on Facebook by random draw to purchase.

Shearwater Weaving is located on Salt Spring Island, BC, Canada and all purchases are shipped with tracking and insurance within 2 days of receiving payment or in the case of a semi custom slot or auction win it will shipped at the time of completion.
The declared value on the item cannot be lowered on customs forms as this is illegal.
The buyer is responsible for all duties and customs charges that may be incurred.
If an insurance claim must be filed for a package, Shearwater Weaving will refund the customer once the claim is paid by the shipping company.
Shipping fees are nonrefundable and any fees and shipping costs associated with a return are also the sole responsibility of the customer(unless otherwise agreed upon by Shearwater Weaving and the customer).
If an item is abandoned or refused at delivery, Shearwater Weaving will not offer any refunds to the purchaser..

However, if you find that you are not happy with your purchase, I will issue you a complete refund.
I must be notified within 3 days of receipt and the item must be returned in the same new condition as it was shipped to you.
