Detailed description is The Shannondale Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that helps financially support major academic initiatives for our school founded 2010.
FOUNDATION INITIATIVES:.
The children of Shannondale are receiving one of the best educational experiences available in Knox County and the state of Tennessee.
Each year these children are receiving this high quality education without the soaring cost of private education.
Despite the many strengths of Shannondale Elementary, we strongly believe that we need to further enhance the academic success of our school.
The Foundation was formed to help create and support initiatives that support academic excellence of students at Shannondale.
Current initiatives funded by the Foundation in our school are:.
- A new portable science lab with new equipment for all grades to utilize..
- A classroom computer upgrade program in which each year classrooms for two grade levels will receive a new computer to ensure a new computer for each classroom every three years.

- Personnel position(s) to allow up to 30 hours per week of teaching assistant time to help with students in small groups or individually if necessary.
