Hailing originally from Northern Virginia “Horse Country,” back when there was still some “country” left, I was deeply immersed in all things equestrian.

After graduating from Ohio University, Athens with BA’s in English and Sociology, I set out back to the DC area to further discover who “Shannon” was and how she was going to make her way in this world! As an innate “helper,” I took a position with a non-profit group that created opportunities for adults with severe and profound disabilities.
I spent 10 years as an independent living consultant / job developer and am proud to say that I was an integral party to moving people from controlled, institutional living situations into a new world which allowed for “open doors,” choices, “yes’s,” and can’s.”.

10 Years ago, after visiting and falling madly in love with Asheville and the mountains of western North Carolina…I listened to my heart and stayed.
Since starting my real estate career eight years ago with the distinguished Cliffs Communities, I have successfully represented some of Western North Carolina’s most prominent, private, master planned / amenitized communities.
