Detailed description is The SHARE Research Collaborative is a group of researchers across three institutions who share an interest in understanding and improving the health of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and other sexual and gender minority populations.
The Sexuality, Health, and Relationship Experiences (SHARE) Research Collaborative is a group of researchers across three institutions who share an interest in understanding and improving the health of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and other sexual and gender minority populations.
As researchers who study LGBTQ people and their relationships, we recognize that there isn't much research on people who are attracted to more than one gender (e.g., bisexual, pansexual, and queer individuals).
We're interested in changing that, because we think it's important that these populations be represented in research in order to understand their unique life experiences.

We approach our research from a perspective that recognizes that sexuality is multifaceted (e.g., it includes identity, attractions, behaviors, etc.) and that all sexual orientations are valid.
Our goal is to use what we learn to help reduce stigma and discrimination, and to promote the health of LGBTQ populations.
Our group includes researchers who personally identify as gay and bisexual, and we use our personal experiences to help inform our research.
We are also committed to listening to and learning from our community and our participants.
By doing so, we hope to conduct research that honors their experiences and prioritizes their needs..
