Detailed description is (503)769-1406 Our mission is to discover, gather and interpret historical materials illustrating the history of the Santiam Canyon, its residents, their activities and the events in their lives.
We are dedicated to the preservation and conservation of such materials while making them available for study by researchers, students and the public..
We are a not for profit corporation and depend solely on the kindness of folks like you.
All of our members volunteer their time and talent to preserve the artifacts and make the stories they tell available to all..
Early in 2014, the City of Stayton requested we vacate the building we had occupied for many years.
The Women's club building (and later the public library) was in dire need of renovation and preservation.
We are glad to say the building has been preserved and is now being used as Stayton's new municipal courthouse..
All of our beloved artifacts are currently in storage while we seek a permanent home.
Our volunteers continue to index and document our collection.
There is always room for more volunteers.
