promotes and funds sailing on traditional sailing vessels.
Die Sail Training Association Germany ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein mit Sitz in Bremerhaven, der sich für den Erhalt der Traditionsschifffahrt und deren Werte einsetzt.
Wir betreuen und vernetzen Betreibervereine und deren Crews, fördern seemännische Aus- und Weiterbildung und unterstützen traditionelle Segelschiffe.
Darüber hinaus bieten wir Förderungen für Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene für das Segeln auf den Mitgliedschiffen an.
In der S.T.A.G-Satzung steht geschrieben:.
„Zweck...
ist es, jungen Leuten, insbesondere Jugendlichen, unter fachkundiger Leitung auf geeigneten Sail-Trainings-Schiffen ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis auf See zu bieten….“.
Auch wir haben als „Landratten“ angefangen und können bestätigen, dass es ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis ist, auf diesen Schiffen die See zu be- und erfahren.
