Detailed description is Manifestazione che da trentacinque anni promuove la pesca tardiva di Leonforte.
Unica nel suo genere per periodo di maturazione e tecnica di coltivazione.
Da ormai trentacinque anni la Sagra delle Pesche e dei prodotti tipici è la vetrina principale per promuovere la tipica pesca tardiva di Leonforte.
Il primo weekend di ottobre il Corso Umberto e le sue piazze si vestono a festa per ospitare numerosi visitatori venuti, da ogni parte della Sicilia e non solo, per assaggiare la Settembrina.
Era il 1982 quando tutto questo accadeva per la prima volta.
Negli anni è cambiato tanto ma ai leonfortesi è rimasta la voglia di celebrare quel frutto che con i suoi colori e il suo intenso odore rappresenta Leonforte nel mondo..
Con il tempo la Sagra ha cambiato veste.
Prima era solo la “Sagra delle Pesche”, oggi è anche la sagra di altri “prodotti tipici”: vale a dire la “fava larga”, l’olio extravergine, la lenticchia, le mandorle.

Con l’edizione 2016 la Sagra delle Pesche e dei prodotti tipici cresce e si rinnova.

Da quest’anno, infatti, la manifestazione si allarga e le esposizioni partiranno da Piazza IV Novembre fino alla Granfonte, passando per Piazza Annunziata, Piazza Margherita e Piazza Branciforti.

La Sagra inoltre si adegua ai tempi e diventa social.
