Theresa Elementary was founded by the Sisters of Mercy.
In 1974, St.
Theresa was relocated to the present site and rededicated as Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary.
In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina flooded the facility, Sacred Heart Elementary relocated to Big Ridge Baptist Church's Sunday School facility until January 2007 at which time the renovations of the present facility were completed.
We are very proud of our heritage and the journey God has lead us to experience.
