Ans: SABRİ AKÇA (1936, Sancar-Eskişehir) 1936 yılında Eskişehir’in Sancar köyünde doğan Sabri Akça, 1948 yılında Hamidiye Köy Enstitüsü’ne girdi. 1951’de yetenek sınavını kazanarak İstanbul Çapa Resim Bölümü’ne giren sanatçı üç yıl sonra Gazi Eğitim Enstitüsü Resim Bölümü’ne başladı. Henüz öğrenciyken 1956-1957 Devlet Resim Heykel Sergilerine beş yapıtı kabul edilen sanatçı, 1980 yılında Devlet Resim Ödülü, 1981 de DYO Resim Yarışması’nda mansiyon ödülü kazandı. Sanatçının, Avrupa, Amerika ve Türkiye’de özel koleksiyonlara girmiş olan çok sayıda eseri bulunmaktadır. Çok sevdiği resim öğretmenliğine 1957 de Kastamonu Lisesi’nde başlayan ve uzun yıllar Gazi Eğitim Enstitüsü ve Gazi Üniversitesi’nde öğretmenlik yapan sanatçı emekli olduktan sonra daha da ağırlık verdiği resim çalışmalarını halen Ankara’da kendi atölyesinde sürdürmektedir.
