Es liegt 30 km östlich der Gemeinde Témiscaming.Das Schutzgebiet wurde eingerichtet, um einen für die Region der mittleren Laurentiden typischen Bestand an Zucker-Ahorn-Weiß-Birkenwäldern zu repräsentieren und zu sichern.
