Nel 2001 sono stati festeggiati i 100 anni della posa in opera della statua del pittore nella piazza omonima nel centro del paese.Il Beato Angelico nacque tra il "Popolo di San Michele a Rupecanina", piccola frazione poco distante dal capoluogo; più precisamente il più probabile luogo di nascita è Moriano, località facente parte del popolo di Rupecanina, come si evince da “Beato Angelico.
