Mr. Hoover was born October 3, 1941, son of the late Roy Edward Hoover Sr., and the late Rosella Ella Hoover Shade. His late maternal grandparents Charles Franklin and Daisy Mae Hamman raised him.
Jimmie worked as a master plumber with Flour Daniels at Dupont for 12 years and then worked for Virginia Riggers. He was a member of the Giles B. Cook Post 53 of the American Legion. His true passion was his family.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Elda Lee "Sisie" Dofermire Hoover of Front Royal; one daughter, Teresa Lydina Henry and her husband Patrick Ira Henry of Front Royal; two grandchildren, Sonny Webb and Olivia Campbell, both of Front Royal; one brother, William Eugene Hoover of Inwood, West Virginia; two sisters, Anna Margaret Sanders of Frederick County and Sharon Smedley of Winchester; and several special nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and grandparents, a brother Victor Smedley preceded him in death.
