Route 66 School of Motoring was founded in 1991, by John Younger DSA ADI, Grade 6, Dip DI, Diamond Advanced Driving Examiner.
The majority of of good instructors work independently rather than paying large franchise fees to the national schools.
Route 66 consist of a group of independent instructors working together under the same banner.
In this way we are able to offer you the best tuition with all the back up and support of a larger school.
Our instructors are patient, friendly, relaxed but above all professional.
All have been chosen for their teaching skills, proven track record and inter-personal skills.

Our aim is to teach "Safe Driving for Life" and to do so using a cost effective structured lesson plan covering the DSA syllabus for learning to drive.

Our InstructorsOur instructors are; Lynda Cronin, Helen McAleer and John Younger.
Unlike many schools, all our instructors are fully qualified ADIs.
Many schools including BSM, RED, and LOCAL also use trainee instructors, some of whom will not pass their final exams, yet these instructors are sent out at full school rates with no mention of this to the client.
As I am involved in ADI training, we may on occasions have a trainee available, however, we would always give the client the option and would charge out at £7 per hour below the normal school rate.
