It was founded in 1986 by Rotary International - an association of clubs made of service - minded business and professional leaders.
The Rotaract Club of Soaring Monks, youth wing of the Rotary Club Chandigarh Central is a Non-Government cum Non-Profit Organization.
Being a group of like-minded individuals working with the motto "fellowship through service", this club comes under the International District Code 3080 and is rated as one of the best clubs in the region..
