Private yoga is the first seed to sprout in this multi root and branch business that i will cont.
to develop over the years to come! Rooted Sky is a brand new expression of a very old and well lived in idea I have been working towards for over the past 15 years of gathering education, credentials in a number of different yet complimentary areas! I knew my vision would require the integration of experience on both a personal and professional level.
Temperance; I needed to pour, stir, blend,and wait, while remembering that this indeed is in a constant state of flux.
I have been rather eclectic and adventurous in this pursuit.
I am keen on the process of living and coping with life, pondering always over why we may be here and how we can live it out as meaningfully as we can, while we are here.
We are complex, multifaceted beings, with worlds upon worlds inside of ourselves...
we are art.
We are living art...
and our life with all mediums incorporated is one huge piece that is both everything at once and nothing at all.
This business is a vessel of this constant state of personal exploration and expression.

The first service i am publicly developing through Rooted Sky is private 1-1 yoga.
As the business develops and life unfolds I see it taking on a number of roots and branches in a number of art forms, client coaching.....

With my Yoga teaching, degree and social work background as well as degree in sociology, I have gained experience in a number of areas that allow us us to keep much in our awareness and the freedom to allow us to explore with much flexibility your current walking meditation we call life.
The areas i have spent time in include; palliative care, counseling in grief, as well as Spiritual Care.
I have experience working with individuals from war torn countries coping with PTSD, employment outreach for a non-profit Immigration organization and with also with Family Services.
I have experience in working with public health and sexual health, as i was a street outreach educator for Public Health Canada.
I worked in the area of addictions and mental illness as a dual diagnosis counselor, outreach worker, support worker and facilitated coping through Art, for Yarra Public Health Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
I was a Safe injection sight volunteer in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
I also spent time living and learning in an Ashram and completed my yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India.
Not to mention I accidentally intentionally completed and work within my trade in Non-destructive testing with theory rooted in the travel and passage of sound frequency through medium.
This has very interesting applications aside from testing metal through ultrasonic testing and i find it fascinating! .

For years I have been certifying, studying, traveling, training and acquiring skills and abilities and practices in a number of healing and wellness approaches and modalities to live life as the best authentic expression of who I am so that I can do the work I feel called to do.
I feel called to to do deep and meaningful work.
It's just all about empowering you, your lens, your practice.

By rooting myself in the wild sky of my own ideas and dreams I have come to a place where I am ready and ready...ing to embark on my own private practice.
Starting first with private classes in Yoga, moving into awareness.
This seed has very tiny sprouts and still so many more seeds and shoots I see potential for! Small organic steps in the steady pace I have been walking, is STILL the pace I want to keep.
