Detailed description is Handmade custom knives by Ron Neilson.
Formally of Cordova, Alaska.
Now made in Kimberly, Idaho I have been a part time Knife maker for over twenty years.
I make beautiful knives designed and made to be used.
Each of my knives are totally hand made by me.
I use ATS-34, 440-C, and .
CPM 154CM blade steel.
All my knives are ground by hand without the use of jigs or CNC machines.
My blades are professionally heat treated and Cryogenically tempered by Boss heat treating in Post Falls, Idaho.
I use natural handle material such as Elk, Moose, Mountain Sheep, Ironwood, Jigged bone etc for the handles on most of my knives.
Each knife comes with a custom made hand stitched leather sheath of my own making..
My current knives have evolved from the heavy, bulky somewhat impractical knives of years ago, to the lighter, smaller and more user friendly knives I currently make.
Most of my knives are special order but I sometimes have some knives available.
